The online article "Harley Looks to Chinese Motorcycle Market" from the February 2009 issue of Motorcyclist provides insight into Harley-Davidson's relationship with China's Zongshen Motorcycle Group. Zongshen is one of China's largest motorcycle manufacturers.

Both of the companies are looking for a relationship which will benefit one another. Harley is looking for a "profitable entry into the massive Chinese market". Harley is looking into its relationship with Zongshen to guide them through the difficulties of trying to enter the market. In return, Zongshen will "be offered information on some of Harley's technology and strategies". Of course, this is all if the partnership forms.
