Annotated Bibliographical Entry 5

The article "China: Ripping off Wisconsin Ginseng" by Cindy Skrzycki discusses Wisconsin's large cultivation of the native Chinese plant, ginseng. Outside of China, Korea, and parts of Siberia, known for their cold climates, Wisconsin is the perfect place to grow ginseng. The facts speak for themselves, "Wisconsin accounts for 95 percent of the cultivated ginseng in America, which is about 10 percent of world production". Chinese buyers however insist Wiscnsin ginseng is superior. For these reasons, many Chinese companies have been saying that their ginseng is grown in Wisconsin.
